Super Sconce

Lighting is one of my favorite elements in design, and specifically, the sconce which play a multi-faceted role. It's both light and art. It adds dimension and interest but also play the unassuming cool sidekick to whatever it might be flanking (a mirror, art print, arched backsplash, etc.). With varying heights and shapes, multiple canopy sizes, different metals and finishes, endless shades, unconventional lighting materials like stone, wood, rattan, leather and ceramic, and customization galore, it's hard to choose a winner. Brass and black still remain trendy, polished nickel still a classic, and chrome very modern, but on all of their tails are bronze, copper, marble, travertine and aged nickel. This is a fun way to flex your creative muscles to achieve your desired aesthetic, even if the rest your space isn't all that. Here are some current sconces that are like, so super:
