Paint is one of the most resourceful and cost efficient means of updating - or completely reinventing - your space. The trends for 2023 are charting a new path which will help all of us break out of our decades-long gray rut and embrace a warmer, more inviting palette. Here are the top colors to date:
Brown: all the rage today, this was actually SW's color of the month back in 2019. This hue is right in step with the warming color trends of today and works anywhere you feel daring. Try: Black Bean by Sherwin Williams

Olive: deeper with more black, this is a gorgeous, moody color for an office, powder room, bedroom, or making a dramatic entrance via the front door. Try: Dark Olive by Benjamin Moore

Beige: yes, you read that right. The 90s are having a revival in fashion, but the new beige paint is less pinky-yellow and more neutral than the original. Try: Grant Beige by Benjamin Moore

Teal: a hybrid of blue and green, both wildly popular colors, gives you the best of both worlds. It works well on a bathroom vanity or kitchen island paired with brass hardware. Try: Inchyra Blue by Farrow and Ball

Pink: Pantone's "Viva Magenta" is the color of the year, and pink is everywhere these days. While this hue can seem excessive, embrace its distant cousin with more clayish-brown in it. Try: Foxy Brown by Benjamin Moore

Warm White: think limestone wash or the color of coffee creamer; the warm white today is less harsh and cool and more subtle and warm. Try: Alabaster by Sherwin Williams
